APOCOBLOG (A True Revelation)

This blog is dedicated to a better understanding of the book of Revelations. It started many years ago and has morphed itself not completely, but in such a way that enough of the mystery has been revealed to give proof, I believe, to a new, fresh, and exciting personally spiritual interpretation to a book of the Bible that has been shrouded in great ignorance. I will show in small peices at a time what God has shown me about John's writings, and it is a great honor that I can bring them to you.

The sign of the beast (666)

We have all heard many interpretaions to this one. We've seen the movies, and horrored at the notion of the comming anti-christ. Lets's get a grip on our imaginations for a second and look at the scripture itself before running for cover:

"Here is wisdom: Let him who has intelligence count
the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man
and his number is six hundred three score and six.(666)"

Notice the phrasing in the first line, the references to wisdom and intelligence,
for many intelligent people it is hard to realize the difference. Intelligence is the culmination of education, and the skills learned therin, but wisdom is something totally different, it manifests itself on a spiritual plane.
That being said, lets take another look at these verses. If you have intelligence, or put quite simply the ability to read, write, and do arithmatic, then you have the power necessary to uncover the truth about the beast. Using your intelligence, do what the scripture says, "count the number of the beast". What's the number? 666. So let's see, 6+6+6= 18!
Eighteen! that's the number of the beast when counted. So what does that mean? Well, the bible says the number of the beast is the number of a man, and at what age do we consider a child to be and adult....or man? Eighteen!
This beast is a tendency, or temptation, that dwells within every man and woman, which manefests itself around our eighteenth birthday. It is the urge to abuse our new freedom, and we can go many different ways at this age.
